For man portable applications. The Hornet is Instro’s lightest and most compact motorised pan and tilt. Designed to be the same size as a goniometer, the Hornet features a standard tripod mounting interface to provide a truly man portable solution for remote surveillance tasks where the use of hand held sensors is impractical or dangerous to the user. The high accuracy Hornet exhibits a low-magnetic signature and is available in two configurations, one providing remote line of sight control and featuring encoders in both azimuth and elevation for accurate position reporting and one providing remote line of sight control only. All versions feature an innovative anti-backlash and wear compensation mechanism and friction clutch in each axis to maintain accuracy. The Hornet is ideal for homeland security and surveillance tasks on the move where a high degree of mobility is required.

The Driveman is one of Instro’s lightweight range of motorised pan and tilts designed to offer a reliable and very cost effective support solution in a wide range of applications and environments. Based around a rugged and compact casing, the backlash free Driveman is capable of axis speeds of up to 60 degrees per second and is ideally suited for homeland security in permanent installations and vehicle applications where controllability and positional accuracy is required. Still light enough to be considered as portable, with the addition of a tripod mount adapter, the Driveman is equally suited to temporary deployment, mounted on suitable tripods.

For high accuracy applications. The Wasp is one of Instro’s mid range high performance motorised pan and tilts. Based on a rugged and compact ‘L’ shaped design, the Wasp can be configured to handle an impressive range of sensors and sensor suits for long range surveillance tasks. The backlash free Wasp is capable of axis speeds of up to 60 degrees per second and is ideally suited for homeland security in permanent installations and stationary vehicle applications where a high degree of controllability and positional accuracy is required. With the addition of a tripod mount adapter, the Wasp is equally suited to tripod mounted applications. The Wasp is available in four standard versions, basic ‘L’ shape, ‘L’ with support arm, ‘L’ with azimuth slipring assembly and ‘L’ with azimuth slipring assembly and support arm. The capability of the Wasp motorised pan & tilt can be further extended with the addition of factory options such as Ethernet control or Analogue control and support arm spaces to achieve optimum payload mass distribution.
