Instro's range of motorised pan and tilt units are characterised by their high performance zero backlash design and provide precise remote control of mounted sensor payloads. With variants suitable for land, sea and vehicle based systems, these platforms offer an economic solution for a wide range of security, surveillance and positioning applications. Control of Instro's current range of motorised units is facilitated using Instro's standard serial RS422 interface. Electrical interface is via rugged environmentally sealed connectors. Instro also manufacture a range of consoles, from simple handhelds to consoles offering full control of the platform and its payload

Instro's range of manual pan & tilt heads have been designed for use in harsh environments and are extremely rugged and compact. All manual pan and tilt variants are environmentally sealed and feature a standard tripod mounting interface and independent azimuth and elevation brakes. The Mini range additionally features damping and a fine adjust mechanism in both axis. Payloads can be rapidly and securely mounted via quick release interfaces offered in a number of configurations.

Instro's wide range of tripods provide robust stable platforms on which payloads with compatible tripod interfaces can be quickly and easily mounted. Designed for reliable use in extreme environments, Instro tripods are rugged and compact with respect to their payload capacity and are constructed from lightweight aluminium or composite material depending on model. Independently adjustable leg angle and length provide a wide operational height range to suit differing terrain and deployment requirements, whilst minimising stowed length. Payload capacities range from 10 to 160kg.
Accessories such as footplate and pin sets and tie down kits are available to ensure maximum stability and security.

| GPS modules for surveillance and homeland defence |

Instro’s GPS based products are centred around a GPS-based north finding, position and attitude determination module for accurate all weather, all terrain stationary measurement of bearing. The module has been designed for use in ferro-magnetic environments such as heavy vehicles and ships where electronic compass-based solutions are not viable and where inertial systems are too costly. Available as an OEM sensor the module can be integrated with both new and existing systems via an RS232 serial data link.
